DHAKA, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Dense fog enveloped the Bangladesh capital Dhaka Monday, disrupting flight services to and from the country's principal Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Senior Air Traffic Officer SM Ohidur Rahman told journalists that the country's main airport was shut for about six hours.
Meanwhile, he said several flights were delayed or diverted.
According to the official, flight operations at the airport resumed at about 9:00 a.m. (local time) after the authorities suspended air traffic there at around 3:00 a.m. (local time).
