PARIS, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Ligue 1 club Bordeaux Saturday announced the arrival of promising young striker Josh Maja from League One outfit Sunderland through a four-and-a-half year deal.
Maja, 20, spent his spells with the academies of Crystal Palace, Fulham and Manchester City before joining Sunderland. Then he progressed through the ranks from the youth side up to the first team squad of the Black Cats.
The 2017-18 season witnessed Maja's breakthrough with 17 appearances and scoring his first professional goal against Fulham on Dec. 16, 2017.
Regarded as a pacy, technical and a clinical finisher, Maja has a very promising prospect for the future.
He has already snatched 15 goals in 24 appearances in League One so far this season.
