JERUSALEM, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Israeli troops shot and injured a Palestinian man on Wednesday after he attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack in the West Bank, the army said.
A military statement said the man from Nablus attempted to run over civilians and soldiers near an Israeli military base in the central West Bank.
No Israelis were injured in the incident.
It was the latest violence in a resurging wave of knife, car-ramming and shooting attacks carried out by Palestinian individuals against Israeli soilders or settlers.
