RIYADH, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen announced on Tuesday the interception of a missile shot by Houthi militias towards border city of Najran, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The coalition spokesperson, Col. Turki Al Maliki, highlighted that the missile was shot from Yemen's Omran province and was intercepted and destroyed by Saudi air forces without reporting any injuries.
He said the fresh attack increased the number of missiles fired by the Houthis to 183.
Saudi Arabia has been targeted by such attacks for the last three years since the beginning of the war in Yemen and most of them targeted the border cities and were destroyed without causing any damages.
The coalition has been accusing Iran of supplying the Houthis with weapons and missiles to hinder attempts to reach political solutions in Yemen.
