FRANKFURT, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 41.81 points, or 0.31 percent, to close at 13,340.17 points.
German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.49 percent. Building materials company HeidelbergCement and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical rose by 1.56 percent and 1.48 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.35 percent. Energy group E.ON and Deutsche Bank went down by 1.00 percent and 0.61 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 336.47 million euros (418.43 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
